MEDFORD Oregon- Joan Ruth Bowdish was born the daughter of Rodney and Jeanne (Van de Wiele) Bowdish on Thursday, August 13, 1964 in Salem.

Joan grew up and received her early education in St. Paul, graduating from St. Paul High School in 1982. She attended Western Oregon University and worked in the family grocery store in St. Paul for five years. She also worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant for a few years. She married and raised her family. In 1988 she moved to Klamath Falls and returned to St. Paul in 1994. Joan also lived for a time in Salem and then moved to Medford, where she has since resided.

An animal lover, Joan had a dog, two cats and fish. She was an avid computer user. Devoted mother, Joan loved her family.

She is survived by her companion, Michael Rauch of Medford; mother, Jeanne Bowdish of St. Paul; son, Dustin Penrose; daughters Megan Penrose and Samantha Penrose, all of McMinnville; brothers Michael Bowdish and Patrick Bowdish both of St. Paul; sister, Jane Penrose of Salem; 3 nieces and nephews.

Joan will be missed by all of us but mostly by her family. She was a wonderful woman that suffered much. She is with god now and im sure is enjoying being pain free for the first time in many years. Goodbye dear friend............
